Springing along – Recap of March

Last month was focused on foreign fields, with four of the feats finishing in France. Fancy that.

My craziest double challenge to date happened in March, pedalling 300km from London to Paris to run the Paris Half Marathon.

With two friends and the Google Map lady’s voice chiming out of our pockets, we had a great ride with glorious weather and minimal logistical hassle (a few fields, a gypsy commune and passing through one particular village 3 times were as bad as it got).

Upon arrival, we paced 21km around the city with 40,000 fellow runners. And so back to work on Monday with a pretty cool ‘how was your weekend?’ response.

For challenge no.12, four of us took on three mighty mogul fields, each without stopping, none with much elegance.

A few days later, cross country skis were donned to shuffle, slip and slide along a 10km forest trail. It was surprisingly fun, amazingly peaceful and particularly unglamorous. I recommend it.

The Hampton Court Palace Half Marathon was next. I found it tough – I was tired, the weather was blustery and mentally I was all over the shop – even ready to pack it in (not very ‘eXerK’ right!). Finished with a PB so it was all a bit of a silly game I played on myself. Good to go through the process though.

With 14 challenges complete, I’m already starting to get sad that with only 38 to go, I’m nearly finished.

Haha. Bring them on.

Look out for a Facebook invite to an evening Walk n Talk on Tuesday 21st April. It’s eXerK’s version of a pub session – gathering fun people on the move. Make sure you’ve liked eXerK’s page to receive it.

Have posted lots more challenges too so check them out
