Momentum Movement Oct-2015
Have you ever stopped to thing about how the human body works? For instance how does the blood get pumped around your body? We know that the heart pumps the blood through the arteries to the organs and the muscles, but how does the blood get back to the heart? The heart is a one-way pump; it does not suck the blood back into circulation. I’m sure you know that the blood returns to the heart through the one-way tubes that are the veins but what does the pumping?
Your muscles are the pumps that push the blood back towards the heart. When your muscles contract and relax they push against the veins and force the blood through the veins. The Circulation of the blood brings oxygen and nutrients to the muscles to help the heeling/growing process. The blood is also responsible for clearing away the waster products from the muscles, its like taking out the trash. The more you move the better your circulation, the better you recovery and gains. This does not mean you should lift weights everyday, but you should walk, take the stairs, swim, jog, cycle or simply be more active.
Sitting is the new smoking and its slowly killing us! The worst thing you can do is sit on the coach all day and not move.
