Sad times

Dear Momentum Training members,

 

Thank you for your great attitude and all the positive feedback during this difficult time. As you may be aware we are now having to close our doors following government instructions – we apologise for the short notice. As a small business, we would love for you to retain your memberships through this period if you can. When we are up and running again we will credit you extra sessions and time for your generosity and support in keeping us afloat. A couple of points in the meantime:

 

Borrowing equipment

Many of you have asked about borrowing a piece of equipment to take home and we would like to offer you the chance to exercise at home effectively.

To ensure a fair spread between our community these guidelines have been put in place:

– To borrow equipment your monthly rolling membership must be kept in place for the duration of the hire.

– One set of equipment per person i.e. a pair of 15kg DBs, OR one KB, OR one barbell and one set of plates – a bar and two 15kg plates for example. Alternatively, plenty can be done with one single plate and no bar – squats, lunges, ground to overhead, glute bridge etc.

– A deposit must be paid before taking the equipment. This will be refunded when it is returned in an acceptable condition. The deposit amount will depend on what equipment you take. By way of example, it will be c£100 for a KB OR a set of DBs. The deposit will be paid via TeamUp and returned to you in full upon return of the equipment in the same condition we loaned it to you.

– Equipment can be picked up from Momentum tomorrow, Saturday 21st March 9 am-10 am. It should not be used outside in the rain or in wet conditions.

– We will request the return of all equipment as soon as we have a date to re-open our doors.

-Please note that Eleiko bars and mono structural equipment (rower/bike/ski) are not for hire.

 

Alternative workouts

We are currently working with our coaches to keep them (and you) busy during this time and we are currently investigating two options. The first is online workouts – watch our social medial presence for further info. The other is park workouts – again, once we have more clarity on what we are and aren’t able to offer under the government restrictions, we will update you. We will do everything we can to keep you fit and healthy and moving during this time.
