Mobility program- JAN / FEB
Hello guys,
So the mobility class resumes this Tuesday 18th @ 6:30pm Arch 325 (Spin studio). New joiners, this is a class focused on helping our bodies move and feel better (through mobilising, stretching & strength training).
Over time this will also help give you a better understanding of what your capabilities & limitations are with particular exercises or movements you may do in & out of the gym and how you can better address this.
For the next couple of months the classes will run in 2 week phases, meaning for 2 consecutive weeks we will target a particular area. Both weeks will have different content to learn from. This is to provide some more time in order to explore these areas in more depth, and give the regulars more time to learn, develop and see progress in these areas too. Below is more info on the next 4 weeks.

Itinerary:
Jan / Feb
Wk 1 & 2 (Jan 18th & 25th): Lower back & body; hamstrings, quads, hip flexors focused class. This is a big combo when it comes to overall lower back – pelvis – hip joint – knee joint health and mobility. A lot of what we will work on here will address common problem areas such as lower back & knee issues. The content here will also have a positive impact on lower body movements such as squats, deadlifts and running.
Wk 3 & 4 (Feb 1st & 8th): Upper body; upper spine (thoracic), shoulder blades & rotator cuff region. Here we will explore movements & exercises that help open up and strengthen key areas around the upper spine and shoulder joint. Areas that tend to get quite tight & limit us from performing basic upper body movements easily and efficiently.
