What is our Learn to Lift intro course and who is it for?

Our course is a comprehensive introduction to simple and complex lifting (more detail below) and it is suitable for anyone, regardless of fitness level or prior gym experience. Read on to find out more, or if you’d like to try out our CrossFit Trial Class first, book yourself into one of our CrossFit Trial classes every Saturday 12pm.

What does the course involve?

2 hours with Geoff and Josh to get you that basic understanding of what is needed to get through a CrossFit and Barbell class. During the 2 hours, we will go over the below to make sure you are ready to head on into class. We will also have some Q&A time at the end to answer any questions you might have about Momentum Training and the class offerings we have.

In the first hour we will go over the following:

Lower Body:

Back squat
Front Squat
Over Head Squat

Upper Body:

Strict press
Push press
Push Jerk
Split Jerk


Olympic Lifting:

Clean + Jerk


When is the course? 

Jan 14th – 13:00 – 15:00

Jan 28th – 13:00 – 15:00

Feb 11th – – 13:00 – 15:00

You can come to any of our timetabled classes and be confident that you can handle anything we throw at you.
